Andrea Barbiero – Feng-Shui – S1
The Italian artist Barbiero lives and works in Barcelona. The Spanish metropolis with its connections to the Mediterranean and far beyond is both home and a challenge for the artist. The desire for enjoyment, joie de vivre and celebration is deeply rooted in his culture. Barbiero paints large pictures, often in oil, often with his bare fingers. It was a challenge to take on the small format of ARTSURPRISE. The handover of the art took place in the famous Cafe de tearte in Barcelona on the Ramblas. A place of celebration and therefore probably the best place for these works to begin their journey into the history of contemporary art.
